Building a Legacy

On the “Inspire” Podcast, we heard the inspiring story of one of our new partners, Golden State Insurance Agency’s Domonique “Dom” Rodgers. He spoke about the importance of building a legacy and how his life shaped that desire.

As a child, Dom experienced the struggles that come with financial insecurity and never knowing his own father. These experiences led him to seek his own security through athletics, achieving a baseball scholarship at a division one school. But at age 19, his dream to play professionally was ended when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It was then that a teammate shared with him the opportunities insurance provides, and he knew he had found the security he had been looking for.

Dom would later meet Integrity Partner Shawn Meaike. In him, Dom found a mentor and a father figure. Dom says seeing how Shawn balanced work and family made him reassess his own priorities. That is something he has done with Golden State Insurance.

Dom is now the proud father of two young children. He makes time in his schedule to be with them. Whether it’s taking a family trip or teaching his three-year-old son how to play T-ball, the key is being present.

Dom says Golden State’s partnership with Integrity will help him create a legacy his kids can be proud of. We admire that passion and his enthusiasm for this partnership.

We are excited to have Dom on our team. Go check out his “Inspire” episode today and watch his announcement video to catch him showing off some skateboard moves.
